LiberNovo Omni Pro vs Omni SE: Singapore Buyer's Guide (2026)

LiberNovo's Omni chairs are built around one idea: instead of a backrest you adjust once and forget, the backrest, headrest, seat and armrests move together as your posture changes. There are two models on sale in Singapore — the motorised Omni Pro from $1,349 and the manual Omni SE from $899 — and this guide compares them using the specifications and product images published on their Newstar product pages, cross-checked against independent press coverage where the manufacturer's claims can be verified.

The short answer

Choose the Omni Pro if you want motorised lumbar adjustment, an active seat fan and a spine stretch function. Choose the Omni SE if you want the same movement-based back support without electronics or charging, at $450 less.

The chair above is the Omni Pro in Graphite Black. Both models sit on the same dynamic core, which is why the choice comes down to three features rather than the whole chair.

What both chairs share

LiberNovo feature highlights graphic listing Pro Exclusive features — Active Airflow Ventilation, Gabriel Atlantic Fabric and Reinforced Alloy Base — above Omni Series features Electric Lumbar, Omni Stretch and FlexFit Backrest

Both chairs are built on the same Omni Series foundation: the FlexFit backrest with eight flexible panels and sixteen pivot points, and the Dynamic Support System that links the headrest, backrest, seat and armrests so they move together. They differ in how you control the lumbar support — electric on the Pro, manual on the SE — and the Pro adds three features on top: Active Airflow seat ventilation, the OmniStretch spine stretch, and Gabriel Atlantic upholstery on a reinforced alloy base. The graphic above is LiberNovo's own summary of that split.

Awards and certifications — and what they actually cover

This part matters, because it is easy to overstate. The recognitions below are third-party, not brand marketing:

  • iF Design Award 2026 — LiberNovo announced the win in March 2026 for the Omni's ergonomic design (LiberNovo press release).
  • Red Dot: Product Design 2026 — reported alongside the iF award when the SE and Pro variants were announced.
  • UL GREENGUARD Gold certification — a low chemical-emissions standard for indoor products.

Read that precisely. Both design awards went to the original LiberNovo Omni — the model that introduced the FlexFit backrest and the Dynamic Support System. The Omni Pro and Omni SE covered in this guide are later variants built on that same platform. So it is accurate to say the platform is award-winning, and inaccurate to say the Omni Pro itself holds an iF award. The Omni SE and Omni Pro opened for pre-order on 12 May 2026 and launched on 16 June 2026.

LiberNovo also markets the Omni as the world's first dynamic ergonomic chair — a description the technology press repeats, and one that refers to the moving-backrest design rather than to any certification.

Omni Pro explained

The Omni Pro in Glacier White. The cover image at the top of this guide shows the same chair in Graphite Black — both colourways are stocked.

The Omni Pro is the electronics-equipped model. Beyond the motorised lumbar adjustment and the OmniStretch spine stretch, four details are worth knowing:

  • Armrest controls. The fan and motorised functions are operated from the armrest, so you are not reaching underneath the seat to change settings.
  • Gabriel Atlantic upholstery — the same Danish fabric used on LiberNovo's Maxis Airflow model, specified at 100,000 Martindale cycles and described by LiberNovo as OEKO-TEX certified.
  • Reinforced die-cast alloy base for stability at the higher end of the 136 kg rating.
  • 3,000 mAh rechargeable battery powering the motorised functions, with up to 14 hours of fan runtime per charge.

The five recline positions are fixed stops rather than a free-floating tilt: 105° for upright focus, then 115°, 125° and 135° for progressively softer working angles, up to 160° where the seat and backrest open out into a near-horizontal stretch position.

Why seat ventilation matters in Singapore

Active Airflow seat ventilation diagram showing the six-layer seat construction — breathable fabric, silk cotton padding, 3D support mesh, perforated foam, airflow channel and centrifugal cooling fan — plus armrest fan control and the built-in fan

This is the single feature most likely to matter in a Singapore office, and it is the main reason the Pro costs $450 more. Independent coverage of the launch reached the same conclusion, describing the Omni Pro as designed for long sessions in warmer environments.

Foam cushions trap heat and moisture, and in a tropical climate with air-conditioning running only during office hours, that is the difference between finishing a long session comfortable and finishing it damp. LiberNovo's answer is a six-layer breathable seat construction: breathable fabric over silk cotton padding, a 3D support mesh, perforated foam and an airflow channel, with a centrifugal fan at the base drawing air through the stack.

Three practical points from the specification:

  • 4,000 RPM centrifugal fan pulling heat away from the seat surface.
  • Two fan speeds with up to 14 hours of runtime on a charge.
  • Automatic seat sensing — the fan pauses when you leave the chair and restarts when you sit back down, so you are not running it while the desk is empty.

If your workspace is air-conditioned throughout the day and you rarely notice seat heat, this feature matters less. If you work from a home office where the air-conditioning is intermittent, or you sit for very long stretches, it is the most tangible difference between the two chairs.

Omni SE explained

The Omni SE in Obsidian Black. The StepSync footrest shown beside it is sold separately and is included only with the Chair + Footrest variation.

The Omni SE keeps the movement-based back support and removes the electronics entirely. Independent coverage of the launch describes it as the simplified model for users who do not shift around as much, carrying the same upgraded recline mechanism as the Pro.

  • Manual lumbar control — adjust the lumbar support by hand. No charging, no motors, nothing to run flat.
  • Dynamic full-body support — headrest, backrest, seat and armrests move in coordination as you lean or recline, and the armrests slide back by up to 100 mm.
  • Five lockable recline positions at 105°, 115°, 125°, 135° and 160°.
  • Zoned comfort — a multi-density seat cushion that is softer at the front, balanced in the centre and firmer at the rear, with a hydrophilic memory-foam neckrest.
  • Nylon five-star base and a 6-year limited warranty.

45 cm or 48 cm seat depth — how to choose

Both chairs come in two seat depths, and both are recommended for users between 158 cm and 190 cm tall:

  • Choose 45 cm for a more compact seat fit.
  • Choose 48 cm for additional thigh support.

LiberNovo's guidance notes that body proportions and personal preference also affect the better choice. Seat depth is the one decision that is genuinely hard to change later, so if you are between sizes it is worth sitting in both before ordering — the showroom at Link@AMK has both on display.

Which one should you buy?

Choose the Omni Pro if

  • You want lumbar support you can adjust at the push of a button rather than by hand.
  • You sit for long stretches and want active seat ventilation, especially in a warm or intermittently air-conditioned room.
  • You want the OmniStretch spine stretch for breaks between long desk sessions.
  • You prefer a reinforced die-cast alloy base over nylon, and you want Graphite Black or Glacier White rather than only black.

Choose the Omni SE if

  • You want the same dynamic back support at $450 less at the entry price.
  • You would rather avoid batteries and motors entirely.
  • You want a quiet, low-maintenance chair that never needs charging.
  • Black suits your space and you do not need powered lumbar adjustment or seat cooling.

If you fall outside the size range, read this before ordering

Both chairs are sized for users from 158 cm to 190 cm and up to 136 kg — a range that independent reviews describe as roughly 5 ft 2 in to 6 ft 3 in and up to 300 lb. If you are taller or heavier than that, neither the Omni Pro nor the Omni SE is the right chair for you, and we would rather say so now than sell you a poor fit. LiberNovo makes a separate Maxis series for larger frames — sized for users up to about 6 ft 7 in and 181 kg, with a 52 cm seat cushion and a six-spring controlled recline. Tell us your height and we will point you to the right model.

Both Omni chairs are otherwise designed for the same work — long hours of focused work, gaming and recovery — so the decision comes down to motorised control and ventilation versus simplicity and price. If posture support while standing matters more to you, compare these chairs with a height-adjustable standing desk, and if you want the underlying ergonomics first, start with the science behind ergonomic chairs.

Accessories

  • StepSync Ergonomic Footrest ($99) — a 10° ergonomic tilt with dual-height leg support. There are separate versions for the Omni Pro and the Omni SE, so match the footrest to your model.
  • Cooling Seat Pad ($79) — additional cooling for long-hour sitting, in Midnight Black or Space Gray.
  • Chair Cover for Omni ($59) — a stretchable protective cover set in Black or Grey.

The StepSync Footrest is included with a chair only when the selected variation specifically states Chair + Footrest. Check the variation you add to cart before ordering.

Delivery, assembly and warranty in Singapore

  • Free delivery and professional assembly on orders over $300.
  • Warranty: the Omni Pro carries 6 years on the chair frame and 2 years on electronic components; the Omni SE carries a 6-year limited warranty. Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse and unauthorised modification are excluded.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a LiberNovo chair cost in Singapore?

The LiberNovo Omni SE starts at $899 and the LiberNovo Omni Pro starts at $1,349. With the StepSync Footrest included, the Omni SE is $998 and the Omni Pro is $1,448. Accessories range from $59 for the Chair Cover to $99 for the StepSync Footrest.

What is the difference between the LiberNovo Omni Pro and the LiberNovo Omni SE?

Three features separate them. The Omni Pro has motorised (electric) lumbar adjustment against the Omni SE's manual control; Active Airflow seat ventilation with a 4,000 RPM fan, which the Omni SE does not have; and the OmniStretch spine stretch function. The Pro also uses a reinforced die-cast alloy base and Gabriel Atlantic fabric, against the SE's nylon base. Both share the FlexFit backrest, the Dynamic Support System, five recline positions from 105° to 160°, the 136 kg weight rating and 45 cm/48 cm seat-depth options.

Has the LiberNovo Omni won any awards?

Yes, the platform has. The original LiberNovo Omni received the iF Design Award 2026 and Red Dot: Product Design 2026, and holds UL GREENGUARD Gold certification for low chemical emissions. The design awards were given to the original Omni model — the Omni Pro and Omni SE covered here are later variants built on the same FlexFit backrest and Dynamic Support System platform.

Is the LiberNovo Omni suitable for taller or heavier users?

No. Both the Omni Pro and the Omni SE are designed for users from 158 cm to 190 cm and up to 136 kg. For larger frames, LiberNovo makes the separate Maxis series, sized for users up to about 6 ft 7 in and 181 kg with a 52 cm seat cushion.

Does the LiberNovo Omni Pro need to be charged?

Yes. The Omni Pro runs its motorised lumbar adjustment and OmniStretch function from a 3,000 mAh rechargeable battery, and the fan provides up to 14 hours of runtime per charge. The Omni SE requires no charging because its lumbar support is adjusted manually.

Does the LiberNovo Omni Pro have seat cooling?

Yes. Active Airflow ventilation uses a 4,000 RPM centrifugal fan to draw air through a six-layer seat construction of breathable fabric, silk cotton padding, 3D support mesh, perforated foam and an airflow channel. There are two fan speeds, and a built-in seat sensor pauses airflow when you leave the seat and restarts it when you return.

How do you control the fan on the LiberNovo Omni Pro?

The fan controls are built into the armrest, so you change fan speed without reaching under the seat.

What is the maximum supported weight for a LiberNovo chair?

Both the LiberNovo Omni Pro and the LiberNovo Omni SE are rated for users of up to 136 kg.

What height are LiberNovo Omni chairs recommended for?

Both the Omni Pro and the Omni SE are recommended for users between 158 cm and 190 cm tall.

Should I choose the 45 cm or the 48 cm seat depth?

Choose 45 cm for a more compact seat fit and 48 cm for additional thigh support. Body proportions and personal preference also affect the better choice, so try both if you can — the showroom at Link@AMK displays both.

How wide and deep is the LiberNovo Omni SE?

The Omni SE is 79 cm deep overall, with a 54 cm base width, a 45 cm seat width, a 54 cm backrest height and a 34 × 19 cm headrest. Seat height adjusts between 43 cm and 53 cm. Check the 79 cm overall depth against your desk clearance before ordering.

Do I need to assemble a LiberNovo chair myself?

Newstar provides professional assembly together with free delivery on orders over $300 in Singapore, so you do not need to assemble the chair yourself.

Where can I try a LiberNovo chair in Singapore?

The showroom is at 3 Ang Mo Kio Street 62, Link@AMK #02-12, Singapore 569139. You can also contact the Newstar team before ordering if you need help choosing a colour, seat depth or bundle.
