Newstar started in 2014 in a small warehouse in Ang Mo Kio, with a single idea: great office furniture shouldn't be disposable — and it shouldn't be unreachable.

We saw two problems at once. Premium brands like Herman Miller were priced out of reach for most Singapore businesses. At the same time, Singapore's banks and corporates were replacing thousands of perfectly engineered chairs every few years — sending them to landfills.

So we built a company that does both: bring world-class brands within reach, and give their retired pieces a second life.
