What makes the Suspension Back different from mesh?
Unlike stretched mesh, the Sayl's back is an array of individual elastomer strands — similar to a suspension bridge. Each strand flexes independently under pressure, so your spine gets targeted support at every contact point. The open structure also provides better airflow than solid or densely woven backs.
Are the headrest and lumbar support brand new?
Yes — both the headrest and lumbar support are brand new, factory-fresh add-ons. The Sayl chair itself is pre-owned in excellent condition. This means you get a chair that looks and feels nearly new, plus upgrades that are completely untouched.
Why is there a height limit for the headrest?
The optional headrest on the Sayl is positioned for optimal support for users up to 175 cm. Taller users may find the headrest sits too low against the neck or upper shoulders. If you're above 175 cm, we recommend the Sayl without the headrest.
Does the lumbar support come pre-installed?
The lumbar support is a simple add-on bracket that attaches behind the Suspension Back. It's height-adjustable so you can position it precisely at your lower back. If you select the lumbar variant, it will be installed before delivery.
Is the seat depth adjustable?
Yes — the Sayl features a sliding seat pan that adjusts forward and backward to fit different leg lengths.
What kind of carpet casters does it have?
3-inch standard carpet casters, designed to roll smoothly on medium to high-pile carpets. For hard floors, contact us about replacement options.
